In 2022 my mother and I set out to raise the standard of senior care in our community. After years of watching large, institutional settings fall short, we knew there had to be something better—a place where people are known by name, not room number.
The first time I stepped into a traditional nursing home five years ago, I felt it immediately: the gap between what elders deserve and what they were getting. I wanted to create a home that closed that gap—somewhere families would feel confident leaving their loved ones, knowing they were both safe and truly at home.
Evergreen Haven grew from that conviction. Every decision we make—how we design the rooms, how we plan activities, how we hire and train our team—is guided by compassion, transparency, and the belief that excellent care and a real home should never be separate.
In only three years Evergreen Haven has become one of the most trusted adult family homes in the county. We are proud to serve a vulnerable population and to be home to some of the most inspiring women I have ever met—our golden girls.
Building this home wasn’t easy, especially in the beginning. But today our standards are higher than ever. We are proud of the reputation we’ve earned and of the team that carries our mission forward every single day.
The core purpose of Evergreen Haven is to raise the bar for what senior care can be.
Exceptional care is about more than meeting basic needs—it’s about truly knowing each person. A diagnosis on paper doesn’t define a person. It’s their personal interests, their preferences, their wants—not only their needs. We hope every facility provides basic needs; we highlight the extras. That’s what makes living at Evergreen Haven special. We are always asking what more we can do to go above and beyond for your loved ones—our extended family.
Our team lives these values: treat every resident like family, lead with patience and compassion, keep our word, and support each other so care remains consistent even on the hardest days. These are not slogans—they shape every choice and every interaction.
When we designed Evergreen Haven we wanted it to reflect the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Big windows pull in natural light and frame the trees that surround the property. Plants fill the rooms and the garden has become a favorite gathering place for residents and staff.
Set on the 15th hole of Capital City Golf Course, our home sits in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. It’s a setting that feels like a true retreat—peaceful, open, and welcoming.
From the start Evergreen Haven has been a home for women. At first it happened by coincidence, but when we reached six residents we embraced it—it felt like a calling. Today our home is alive with the laughter and energy of these golden girls.
Although we care for residents with a wide range of needs, we have developed a strong focus on dementia care. With engaging memory-care activities we’ve seen real improvements in cognition and interaction. With a high staff ratio—one caregiver for every three residents—personalized care isn’t an aspiration, it’s our everyday practice. Every care plan is shaped in consultation with healthcare professionals to ensure the best path for each resident. When we designed Evergreen Haven we wanted it to reflect the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Licensed in 2022, Evergreen Haven quickly earned recognition from the county’s senior services network for outstanding resident engagement. We expanded staff training programs and continue to hold one of the highest family satisfaction ratings in the area.
We love to celebrate—holidays, birthdays, or simply the anniversary of a resident’s first day here. From backyard barbecues to tea parties and live music, we look for every excuse to gather and share joy.
Evergreen Haven is proud to be a member of the Adult Family Home Council and a sponsor of the Living Well Living Long Expo. We join senior resource fairs and local food drives because we believe a home like ours should be rooted in the community it serves.
Dolly brings years of hands-on experience supporting seniors in adult family settings. She oversees daily operations, manages staff training, and keeps communication open with families to ensure peace of mind.
“I want Evergreen Haven to feel like a true home—where residents are cared for like family and staff feel proud and supported in the work they do.”
Hi, I’m Kian, the owner of Evergreen Haven. I started this home out of a commitment to raising the standard of care in our community. I’m actively involved in daily operations to make sure every resident receives the attention, respect, and support they deserve. For me, this isn’t just a business—it’s a passion for creating a safe, welcoming place where people truly feel at home.
To all the families who trust Evergreen Haven: thank you. Caring for our residents is more than a job—it’s an honor. Every day we’re reminded that this is their home, and it’s a privilege to share in their stories, their laughter, and even the quiet moments. Your trust allows us to create a place where dignity, comfort, and genuine connection guide everything we do.
Evergreen Haven is more than a place to live—it’s a home built on dignity, compassion, and genuine connection. Here, everyone is valued, heard, and truly belongs.
